With more than 700 people in attendance from every national salmon company, salmon industry suppliers and national and regional authorities, the First National Salmon Meeting, held on November 30th, was a great success. In addition to technical talks from national and international experts, spokespeople from the financial and technological world spoke on topics related to the development of this important regional industry. The Meeting, held in the Lake Theater, ended with words from the Minister of Economy, Mr. Pablo Longueria, who placed special emphasis on the importance of sustainability as an engine of development in regional salmon farming in the upcoming decades.

One important part was the participation of various sponsor companies with their stands. A prominent participant was Patagonia Virgin Frutillar, whose stand generated lots of interest during the event. In addition to the stand, participants could also look towards the southern shore of the bay and have a perfect view of Patagonia Virgin’s project, where excavation work is being done at full speed for landscaping, development and construction of the first stage of the Town Houses.
