This ancient forest contains native species such as Myrtle, Ollivillo evergreens, Lingue trees, Laurel trees, Ulmo trees and Tepa evergreens, as well as streams, wildlife and a rich variety of ferns and native plants.

Hiking trails, decks and viewpoints are being implemented in this native forest nature reserve. The reserve adjoins Viveros y Parques del Sur (Southern Nurseries and Parks) forming an area of 130 hectares, which will have guided family tours and an information and species identification center, as well as a catalog of the different varieties and estimated ages of the species. Residents will be able to register for Botany classes offered in spring and summer through an exclusive agreement with Viveros y Parques del Sur and their renowned biologists and agricultural experts, who manage the parks, forests and gardens of Patagonia Virgin. According to experts who have visited our forest, the area has a rich variety of native birds, which makes it a veritable paradise for ornithologists and birdwatching lovers.
